? Part 1: Understanding File Management

? Step 1: What is File Management?

File management is the process of:

  • Creating files and folders
  • Organizing data systematically
  • Naming files properly
  • Storing and retrieving information easily

? Step 2: File Naming Rules (Very Important)

✅ Use meaningful names
✅ Avoid special characters (/ \ : * ? " < > |)
✅ Keep names short and clear

✔️ Good Examples:

  • ICT_Tutorial2_Kaleem
  • Student_Record_2026

❌ Bad Examples:

  • file1
  • abc123
  • new document (1)

? Part 2: Creating and Organizing Folders

? Step 3: Create Main Folder

  1. Right-click on Desktop
  2. Click New → Folder
  3. Name it:

? Step 4: Create Subfolders

Inside ICT Lab Work, create:

  1. Open Notepad

  1. Open browser
